Auntie Marti visits!
Auntie Marti came to visit this weekend...and boy did we have fun! Joe went on his first visit to the big city of Dallas. We went to the Farmer's Market, ate at a very nice restaurant (good thing Joe slept the whole time...some of the people there didn't look like they would enjoy a screaming baby during their lunch), and went shoe shopping. Joe had a great day and he loves his Auntie Marti.

Ahhh....sleep
They are so precious when they sleep. Joe went to the doctor yesterday and had gained almost a pound in one week! He is now 6 pounds 5 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. He's a growing boy...although he should since his main priorities in life right now are to eat, sleep and go to the bathroom.

JPW
Joe lost about 1/2 pound in the hospital and since he was early, he had no clothes that fit him. My first outing was to Target to get clothes small enough to fit him. I never need a reason to shop, but this was definitely a good one.
Party in my crib...2am
This was basically what happened all night our first night home...he and the rest of the house are now sleeping about 4 hours at a time...thank goodness.
Grammy Gauw
Grammy Gauw can't get enough of her first grandson. Thank goodness as she is spoiling us with home cooking and keeping the house clean. She does sneak in to hold him whenever she can. Grandpa Gauw and MarMe Ward were able to stay a few days after Joe was born, but had to get back to Arkansas. Im pretty sure they will be back soon!
Our First Family Photo
Joe Peyton Ward was born June 2, 2007 weighing 5 pounds 15 ounces and 18 inches long. He was 3 weeks early and whether or not he wanted to come into this world, he did. My blood pressure and liver enzymes were on the rise, so it was time for him to be born. All is well now as mom and baby are healthy. Joe was named after his late grandpa who we all wish was here to celebrate this momentous occasion.
