Kissing Cousins

Abigail (my niece) was giving Joe sugars. This is why we live in Texas and not Arkansas. In Texas, we don't kiss our family on the lips.

Abigail was so jealous when my mom held Joe. She started to warm up to him, but I think she's glad he's not around all of the time. You'll see more of her later. We celebrated her birthday while we were there (she officially turns 1 on 11.28) and I took some footage and will post it later.

Grammy and Grandpa with all their Grandkids!
We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. We spent lots of time with my family while we were in NW Arkansas. I must admit, its more stressful to travel with a baby...especially when the baby hates his car seat! All in all we had plenty of food and fellowship. We look forward to spending Christmas in Little Rock to see the friends and family we missed at Thanksgiving.

First Cereal

Yes, my child is almost 6 months old and we are just starting cereal. I'm concerned that Joe might have allergies, so I'm waiting until the last possible minute to start him on solid food. Here is his first attempt at cereal. I think he did well. I'm not quite sure he enjoyed it though as towards the end, he does a little shiver...almost as if he was thinking, "What is my mommy giving me!?"
You will have to excuse the videographer (Its my first time with this new gadget!)

Thanksgiving

We are going to be leaving for NW AR tomorrow and wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I love this time of year and can't wait for the cooler weather that has been predicted. The best part of this time of year is getting to see all my siblings and their families. Each year it seems we have a new addition and I suspect that will continue to happen. I love family and what it stands for. I thank God for my family and how much He has blessed us.

I love this little sleeper...if you can't tell what the feet say, they say "gobble, gobble"

As you can tell, Joe is not really in to pictures any more. He is such a happy kid. This weekend, he started laughing at George (our dog) and wouldn't stop. It was hilarious! Jeff can also get him to laugh like no one else...but just not for pictures.

Camo time

I'm so excited about next week! I have my camouflage on and I'm ready for Uncle Dan to take me hunting! Do you think my mommy will let me go? I would much rather go hunting than go shopping with all those women.
p.s. Thanks to my cool cousin Scott for the outfit...its mine and my daddy's favorite

Hawkins Park

I must say I got the idea from Melissa and Lauren to go to the park. Joe was cranky yesterday, and since it was 85 degrees outside..Joe and I went to the park. I think he enjoyed it...he's a much happier baby today!

Unlce Jay's Here!!!

I talk to tigger a lot! He gives me good advice on how to play tricks on mommy and daddy. Uncle Jay tried really hard for me to say his name this weekend, but Im saving my 1st word to be mommy!

I even tried to get Uncle Jay to change my diaper, but he wouldn't. Mommy and daddy told him, now is the best time to do it...since they don't stink yet. He didn't believe them.

I was so happy that Uncle Jay was coming to visit. Although, I don't think Uncle Jay believed that since I screamed all the way home from the airport (I hate my carseat!)

Uncle Jay, come back to see me soon! Next time, bring Aunt Jan. I know she was off to Vegas to celebrate her youth, but I missed her. See you at Christmas!

5 months

Joe turned 5 months on Friday. It was this time last year that we were announcing to our parents that we were expecting. I can't believe he is already 5 months old! Its amazing what little miracles children show you. I couldn't imagine loving someone the way I love Joe. He learns something new everyday. Its amazing how much he pays attention to what it going on around him...how much he's playing with his toys now...how much he loves to pull my hair (no wonder Britney Spears shaved her head)...how much he can move around in his crib...and how excited he gets when he sees me or Jeff. As he is sitting in my lap while I blog, I can't imagine my life without him. I love you big guy! (now, let go of mommy's hair)
