Welcome to the "Gun Show", ladies
Our Christmas festivities in Arkansas started Saturday afternoon at Marmee's house. She and her friends threw a party for the boys born this year. We had great food, but even a better time watching the boys react to each other. They did wonderful especially since the party was in the middle of everyone's nap time. There was some hair & ear pulling (we won't name who!), but that's to be expected when you have multiple boys together. I hope that Joe will have as good of friends as his daddy does!

Pit Stop

On the way to Arkansas, we stopped in Foreman, Arkansas to visit with Jeff's Aunt Billie. I must say I always look forward to seeing Aunt Billie. She is such a kind and Godly lady who has welcomed me into the Ward family like one of her own. Its a perfect stop for us as Joe loves to get out of his carseat and play a bit. We hate that we missed the rest of her family, but was sure glad she was home!

We love Miss Allison!
One day Miss Allison wanted Joe to wear red to her house. Now I know why! She took his picture to go in this snow globe and this was Joe's gift to us...isn't she incredible?
Wow! She gave Joe a farm Stand or Sit! He likes it so much and I know he'll especially like it when he can wheel it around the house on its wheels.
This might be his favorite from Samayra (his secret santa). He pushed it around with his nose like a seal!

Hot Mama!
One of my best friends, Heidi, is pregnant. She hasn't gotten into the blog thing, so I told her I was posting her pic on mine. I love the fact that she is 7 months along and has to put her hand on top of her belly so people can tell she's pregnant! You look beautiful and I love baby Yates' bedroom! Hang in there...2 more months...and its worth every little uncomfortable moment you have being pregnant. I miss and love you!

6 months
Joe turned 6 months yesterday. We went to his well baby appointment today and he wasn't very well. He has an ear infection, sinus infection and asthma. Nothing to be concerned about. We'll just be taking medicine for the next 2 weeks. He has been congested and coughing for about a week, but I thought it would just go away because there were no signs of infection (I guess thats why you are supposed to take them to the doctor for them to diagnose..oh well). Joe hasn't been unusually fussy and has continued to eat the same. Needless to say, he got a shot today but it was a flu shot. We'll go back in January for his 6 month shots.
I worked at Children's this weekend and Joe spent the weekend with Jeff. I have so much to be thankful for. I see so many sick children at the hospital and it makes me think how lucky I am that Joe is a healthy and happy baby. Working there does make me a little anxious about what could happen to Joe, but I'm learning that God is teaching me to trust Him more. If something did happen to Joe (and my prayers are definitely that nothing ever does!), I have to know that it is all in God's plan.
I also have a wonderful husband who loves to spend time with his family. The video clip explains it all. Joe has been laughing for a couple of months now, but we are just now getting it on camera.
At six months he is...
16 pounds and 26 inches long
1. Almost crawling (im sure you'll see footage soon)
2. Sitting up (but definitely still wobbly)
3. Liking cereal more with every feed
4. He continues to be a fabulous sleeper (11hrs at night and 2-2hr naps during the day)
5. Grabbing everything in his reach
