Auntie Marti comes to visit!
Auntie Marti made the trip up from Houston and brought some VERY yummy Nutella cupcakes for my mommy's birthday. My daddy gave me a tiny bite and they were DELICIOUS! I got to go to Dallas with the ladies on Saturday. We went to the Farmer's Market, the Mozzarella Cheese Company, Rudolf's Meat Market, the AllGood cafe, the original Nieman Marcus, Stanley Korshak, and Northpark Mall. We ended the day at Costco....whew, what a fun-filled day and no pictures to prove it. So, my mommy made up for pictures and took way too many today. Anyways, I had a great time with my Auntie Marti (oh, she gave me my first cookies & cream drink from e-bar and I was instantly her best friend!) We love you Auntie Marti...come back and see us soon!

Texas BlueBonnets

For those of you that don't live in Texas, every Spring the interstates, medians and fields are blanketed with these beautiful bluebonnets. I love this time of year and the brilliant colors of the wildflowers. God's landscaping is immaculate...

Opening night at the Ward ballpark...
We are starting early with Joe. He's catching and throwing his ball...which he LOVES (as you can tell from his girly scream)

61 days until Cabo!
We are so excited for the beautiful weather we had this weekend! In 61 days, we will be enjoying the same beautiful weather, but by the water in Cabo! Since we are all pigmently challenged, we headed to the park today to start working on our base tan. I was told by a very knowledgeable source, that tanning beds give you the false sense of a base tan as the UV rays in a tanning bed are different than the UV rays from the sun...not that Joe and I were going to go to the tanning bed...but now we have an even better reason to stay out of them...anyways, enjoy our fun!

10 months
Joe turned 10 months today. He is growing up so fast! We had doctor appointments within 2 weeks of each other (battling the never ending ear infection!) and he had gained 14oz in 2 weeks! He is really into his food and if anyone has any food around, you had better give him some of it! I will say that I am tired of people saying, "He's so small" when Im in the grocery store or out and about...people, he's at the 50th percentile for his age on wt and ht....he's normal! Just because your 5 month old weighs nearly 20 pounds, doesn't mean my child is small for his age! Ok, Im off my soapbox. Here is what he is doing at 10 months...
*2 more teeth on top (4 total)
*sitting from a laying down position (as you can see in the above picture...I found him like this one day after his nap)
*eating everything and still nursing 4 times/day
*probably 8 out 10 cherrios make it into his mouth now instead of 1 out of 10
*babbling, but no recognizable words yet
*throwing objects and crawling/chasing after them
*giving "high 5" (thanks to daddy's diligent teaching)
He amazes me everyday. We are so fortunate to have a healthy and happy baby and I am reminded of that every time Im at work. Thank you to everyone that is keeping us in their prayers...we appreciate and feel them at work. Happy 10 months Joe!
