Whirlwind weeks
A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks, but instead of boring you with the details, I'll give you the highlights...
Joe's future pledge brother, Judson, came to visit 2 weeks ago
Joe's future pledge brother, Judson, came to visit 2 weeks ago

Joe got a much needed haircut...yes, I cut his curls, but there is evidence they'll be returning! BTW, my mom did a fabulous job cutting it!

We went to the Arboretum in Dallas with Grammy. VERY beautiful place, but very warm this past Sunday.

Joe figured out how to climb on top of the table, even with the chairs completely tucked under the table.

Wished Grandpa a very Happy Birthday!
The saddest & scariest part of our week was while we were at a restaurant, our waitress spilled an entire cup of coffee all over Joe. Only by God's protection was he not burned. It scared him, so of course he screamed, but once he saw a balloon he calmed down. Its a crazy story that would take a while to explain and could have been prevented and that is why the waiters at the restaurant will be receiving a lot more training on how not to spill coffee on children! We just don't want it to happen again because next time the child may not be as lucky.
So we had a great time with all of our company over the past 2 weeks! A special thanks to my parents for ALL of their hard work while they were here. We enjoyed every minute!

16 months

No, the toaster is not plugged in. The other day I went to use my toaster and it wasn't working...now I know why!
Joe turned 16 months on Thursday. I know its such a cliche, but he is growing so fast. He is REALLY in to books these days. One day this week, he woke up from his nap and it was around lunch time. So I proceeded to take him to his highchair and attempt to feed him lunch. He was crying with every bite and then started refusing food. This isn't like him and I knew he took a long enough nap (2 1/2 hours!), so I started down the list of what could be wrong...starting with his diaper, so we changed that...still crying. As we are walking out of his room, he tries to lunge out of my arms towards his bookshelf. I grab a book and he goes from crying to laughing in 1/2 second. I read him his book...he's happy, we can continue eating lunch. I mean, I like to read a good book, but I would much rather eat! Needless to say, we are reading the same 3 books over and over and over. He has more books, but there are only 3 he wants right now. Its so cute though...I love my little boy!He is walking more and more, but would still rather crawl. He might be crawling down the aisle for his high school graduation at the rate we are going. My cousin told me her little girl was 17 months before she decided to walk...hopefully he will be completely walking by Halloween as his costume will be much cuter with him walking in it, rather than crawling. He looks so CUTE in his costume. I can't wait to post pictures!
