Thanks

This is what happens when you have surgery on the family jewels...not so much fun :(

They weighed him before surgery and he weighed 14 pounds! I can't believe he weighed 5-6 when we brought him home from the hospital. He's definitely consuming whole milk!

We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers yesterday. Joe had his corrective surgery and all went well. Its been a bit of a rough recovery so far, but I can't blame the little guy. He was such a good trooper on Friday when his last feed was 730 and they didn't take him back for surgery until 1145. He was a tiny bit fussy right before the anesthesiologist came to pre-op, but nothing a little pacing wouldn't calm down. We are fortunate we have such a healthy and happy baby, but we are hoping that we won't all be having surgery in the same year ever again.

Yummmm

Joe needed a little more to eat today so he'd have enough energy to make it through the whole Razorback game...his choice of snack? Goldfish! It didn't work though, as he was getting ready for bed, Kentucky began their 21 point run to beat the Razorbacks. What are we going to do with those Hogs?
ps. Judson, sorry I was sleeping when you called, my mommy makes me take naps. Catch you next time-Joe

Go Hogs!

Getting ready for the big game by doing my pre-game warm-up! Go HOGS!

Weird Habits Already...

I have this orchid in the house that for some reason Joe loves to look at. He will stare at it for so long and it will calm him down if he's fussy...its the weirdest thing...we may have a future florist in the family (don't worry, Jeff's trying to break the habit so he'll have a manly man!)

Some pictures from this week..

Hi Marmee, Grandpa & Grammy...I miss you! Look how cute your favorite grandson is!

Look mom! I'm crawling! (he's not, but sometimes I wonder if he's going to take off. He can really move his arms and legs!)

Whoa mom, stop with the camera already...actually he's getting ready to roll-over. I can't get him to stay on his belly for tummy time anymore.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful

I usually take a nap in my bed, but sometimes my daddy and I get to nap it out together.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun, yet very relaxing weekend with my brother, sister-in-law, and "bump". We mostly ate and rested, but we did get to listen to the Razorback game via the internet. Joe called the hogs and enjoyed listening to the fight song on his Uncle Dan's cell phone. He also loved Uncle Dan's big truck (hence the smile in his carseat) and going to the Bass Pro Shop for the first time. He had a great time with his Aunt Diedra and cousin--bump (due March 28th...yeah!!!). Aunt Diedra was a trooper this weekend; I know what its like to travel and not feel well at times (nausea/vomiting) but I must say she did quite well. The most exciting news of the weekend is that my parents FINALLY sold their house in Forrest City. After 2 1/4 yrs on the market, they closed on it Friday. They will be moving to Bella Vista by the end of the month. We thank God for this blessing, although trivial at times we know that His timing is perfect.
