Good times

A lot has happened this week...Auntie Marti was here last Saturday and Sunday. It was a short, but sweet visit. I can already tell, Joe's gonna to be wanting to go to Houston to see his Auntie Marti!
Joe is smiling more and more. He is also sleeping from about 9pm to 6am...which is making momma happy.

I had to clean out my desk at work this week. I'm going to be working at Children's about 3 days/month and with that status, I no longer have a desk. I'll be starting my consulting job on the 27th of this month and Joe will be going to his babysitter for about 6 hours a week. We think we finally found a babysitter. We will make the final decision on Tuesday, once we've gone to the babysitter's house. I pray it works out. She gave me a sense of peace when I was on the phone with her. Jeff and I did a drive-by of her house and so far so good (the last drive-by of a potential babysitter didn't work out so well...it was a trailer park...which I wouldn't usually have a problem with if it was clean, but there were roosters running around the park and it was just dirty...needless to say, we marked her off the list).

Joe will also be having surgery on September 28th. Its just a day surgery that will correct a minor birth defect. Nothing to worry about, it will be about a week recovery. The doctors said if he was going to have a birth defect, this is the one to have....its correctable, minor and after the surgery we'll never know anything was wrong.

Oh, and the best news of all is that my brother and sister-in-law are expecting! We are so excited and pray for a healthy and easy pregnancy. I think that's it for now!
