He did not want to take his nap this afternoon, but after a battle of wills. we won! Anyways, we found him like this when we went to wake him up. Please notice the teeth marks on the crub. the joys of teething.

His biggest new trick (no, he's still not walking. although taking steps) is climbing on the guest bed and playing in there. i love his little curls, which leads us to the next picture...

Joe's hair on the top of his head is out of control! It seems at every meal, he's getting food into it and then it is sticky and stands up. Such a dilemma. I don't want to cut the curls in the back, but if i just cut the top part he will have a full-blown mullet

So since the last post, joe has been to the doctor for his 15 month check up and of course, he had a double ear infection. i think my doctor is an ear infection/antibiotic happy lady. next week my insurance is changing so we are going to another pediatrician who hopefully won't carry around her tools in a basket. while he was getting his shots, i discovered why joe hasn't been my happy baby. he is cutting ALL of his bottom teeth! molers, inscisors. you name it, its coming in. his height & weight are at the 50th percentile, so he's growing well. Things he's doing at 15 months:
  • turning on & off lights & ceiling fans
  • touchdown arms
  • throwing the football very well (and everything else he has in his hands)
  • playing with door knobs and doors
  • playing fetch with George. although George doesn't seem to give the rope back like Lucy did at Uncle Jay & Aunt Jan's
  • climbing on everything
  • eating a variety of foods
  • saying momma, dadda, baby (although, we don't know why)....and points and says uh when he wants something
This past week, I started back part time at Childrens in the Endocrine clinic. I am no longer working for the eating disorder clinic (but am missing Dianne & Will) as it was a conflict of interest. I chose Childrens because diabetes is what I have a passion for teaching. I plan on sitting for my exam to be a certified diabetes educator in the Spring. This will also give me more time at home with my family in the evenings and will be closer to home as well. Plus, I'll get to ride in Black Magic with Jeff, 2 days a week.
So, this was a "brief" update of the last couple of weeks...enjoy!
